  • Furniture is arranged in the classroom to allow for social distancing.

  • No sharing of books, equipment, supplies, etc.

  • Students must bring their charged Chromebook, charging cable, and headphones to class

  • There is no eating in classrooms during class time.

  • Whenever possible, doors and windows will be opened for increased ventilation.

  • Hand sanitizer is readily available to all students and staff in each classroom. Hand sanitizer is distributed to students when entering the classroom and in between activities.

  • Custodians will clean and sanitize high touch areas every evening.

  • Once a teacher is done for the day, he or she will turn the card to red or green. Red means that the room needs to be cleaned, and green means that the room was already cleaned or not used on that particular day. Once the custodians see the color, they will either clean or move to the next room.

  • Every room has been equipped with a sanitary tote which includes disposable masks, hand sanitizer, paper towels, a spray bottle and a thermometer. Teachers have also been asked to wipe down the areas of high touch (student desks, door handles and computer keyboards) after each period


  • Most students received Chromebooks, though some of the district’s special education students, and English language learners may have received iPads. Some students also chose to use their personal device. 

  • Students will be expected to bring their APS-issued technology devices or personal computer and cell phone to school with them for in-person instruction.

  • Contact your child's school if you are having trouble with internet connectivity.
